Primary Role
Manage a portfolio of at least 75 prospects with an emphasis on those with significant capacity, interest and readiness to make major and principle gifts. Emphasis is on giving of $500K+. Conduct 100+ visits annually and support philanthropic board activities as required. Work closely medical center executive leadership and key volunteer leadership. Provide direct management and supervision of a team of major gift officers. Develop and coordinate execution of a strategic plan in support of a specific platform.
Experience Required
Bachelor's degree; six years of fundraising experience, including major gifts; experience in managing a fundraising team; experience with volunteer fundraising boards. Ability to work in a complex environment with the personal and technical skills necessary to establish priorities, set objectives, and achieve stated goals; adeptness in working with high net worth individuals and faculty/physicians; excellent written and oral communications skills; strong political acumen; strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to relate research and program goals to external audience; self starter; capacity to build and maintain long-term relationships; proven presentation abilities; ability to move multiple projects forward; and a willingness to travel nationally.
